Meet Rachel

Rachel Lochowski

Rachel was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and raised 30 miles north in the town of Cheshire. She graduated from Liberty University in 2017 and 2019 and obtained both a B.S. in Health Science and an MBA in Health Care Administration. She has been deeply involved in Nonprofit fundraising work since 2019 and holds certifications in Grant Writing and Donor Relations.

In 2021, Rachel became a founding member of City Mission and committed her life to serving disadvantaged individuals and families in Greater Waterbury who are experiencing food insecurity, poverty, economic hardship, and spiritual hopelessness.

She currently serves as a Teacher in City Mission’s Education Program (aka City Mission Schools) as well as the Director of its Free Food Program.

Rachel’s staff pay is supported solely by tax-deductible donations from our donors, which means we can keep our Education Program tuition affordable and our Food Programs completely free.

All staff at City Mission are paid solely by the generosity of our supporters and foundation partners. Please consider making a monthly or one-time gift to support Rachel’s salary so that she can keep serving the community with help, hope, and God’s love for our neighbors in need!
