Meet James

James White

James was born and raised in California. He has extensive experience in carpentry and is a licensed building contractor in the Waterbury area.

Married to his wife (Kealy) of 13 years, James is also a father to 4 beautiful children. In 2021, both he and his wife became founding members of City Mission and committed their lives to serving disadvantaged individuals and families in Greater Waterbury who are experiencing food insecurity, poverty, economic hardship, and spiritual hopelessness.

He currently serves as Operations Director of City Mission and a Teacher in its Education Program (aka City Mission Schools). He frequently volunteers his time to help run City Mission’s Free Food Program in Greater Waterbury.

James’s staff pay is supported solely by tax-deductible donations from our donors, which means we can keep our Education Program tuition affordable and our Food Programs completely free.

All staff at City Mission are paid solely by the generosity of our supporters and foundation partners. Please consider making a monthly or one-time gift to support James’s salary so that he can keep serving the community with help, hope, and God’s love for our neighbors in need!
