Meet Bri

BRIANNA NOWELL

Bri was born in New Haven, and raised in Hamden, Connecticut. She graduated from the Academy of Medical Training in 2014 with her CNA license and has extensive experience in Nursing Assistance and Elderly Homecare Services.

Married to her husband (Aaron) of 9 years, Bri is also a mother to 4 beautiful children. In 2021, both she and her husband became founding members of City Mission and committed their lives to serving disadvantaged individuals and families in Greater Waterbury who are experiencing food insecurity, poverty, economic hardship, and spiritual hopelessness.

Bri currently serves as a Teacher in City Mission’s Education Program (aka City Mission Schools), and as the Families Program Director over its activities & programs for Waterbury families. She also extensively volunteers her time to help with City Mission’s Free Food Program.

Her staff pay is supported solely by tax-deductible donations from our donors, which means we can keep our Education Program tuition affordable and our Food Programs completely free.

All staff at City Mission are paid solely by the generosity of our supporters and foundation partners. Please consider making a monthly or one-time gift to support Bri’s salary so that she can keep serving the community with help, hope, and God’s love for our neighbors in need!
